There were some beautiful gowns on the red carpet, it was so refreshing to see some modern looking shapes and to see gowns that reflected the stars personality and were very much 'worn by the actress' and not the other way around.
Here are my favourite 4.
I love this Tom Ford look on Gwyneth, she is such a natural beauty so this blank canvas of a gown works perfectly. I'm not overly found of that huge cuff but at least its quite tonal with the whole look. I also think that the hair should have been worn straight and down (still tucked behind the ears, with the same parting) but so it all falls down onto her back.
My personal favourite. This Valentino dress is so beautiful on Shailene Woodley, my favourite look on her to date. I think that the hair / make-up could have been fresher as the dark eye and pulled back bun make her look a lot older than she is and therefor changes the tone of the dress.
Love Kristen Wiig and her J.Mendel look is effortless, it's also the best hair and make-up Ive seen on her, the warmer hair colour has softened her look and injected colour into her skin. She looks beautiful.
A bit of a love/hate here. The Giambattista Valli Couture Spring gown is stunning and Emma Stone wears it well (great with her skin tone) I would have liked the neck to be an inch lower and for a stronger make-up look. Also I feel that the accessories made the over all look a bit more casual when they really could have added strength to the look.
